INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS
From Jeff Welty, ICRI Carolinas Chapter Treasurer

Due to the interest of this event and desire to have widespread inclusion, we will need to limit the initial commitment for participation to two tradesmen/working foremen per company.  In the event that there are cancellations, additional participants may be added.  We have a waiting list of 10 should there be any cancellations.  I will reach out to those of you that had interest in sending additional participants.

This pilot is designed to improve our industry through educating our field staff.  This program is for them and their input is very important to us for evaluation.  Please send only tradesmen, applicators, or working foremen (ie, not PM’s, estimators, salespeople, etc.).  There are no restrictions on experience, so you may send applicators with little to no experience or those with extensive experience.

Depending on available space, we may be reaching out to some to participate in the pilot evaluation as ‘Observers’.  Observers would be company decision makers with responsibilities for determining the types of training and resources for training applicators.  If you are interested in you company sending an ‘observer’ (ie branch manager, owner, etc.), please reach out and we will keep you in mind in the event that space is available.  If it is, we will then reach out to fill the slots on a first response basis.

The course is administered in English only.  However, handouts, quizzes, and written information will be available in Spanish and English, based on response.  Please let us know the number of applicators you will be sending that would prefer handouts printed in English and the number that would prefer handouts printed in Spanish.  Binders with information will be provided to participants to take with them at the end of the course.

Attendees responsibilities:

  1. Bring PPE.  This includes ear protection, eye protection, hardhat, gloves, steel toe boots, and respirators (N-95 or better)
  2. Participants must arrive by 7:30 am for registration.  A light breakfast will be provided.
  3. Participants must be willing to participate.  This is a hands-on event. Work clothes, good attitude, and willingness to engage are required.
  4. A quiz will take place at the end of the day as well as a survey.  The quiz and survey are mandatory, but participants will not be individually judged on responses.  Information will be used to evaluate the program and content.
